Well it’s been over a month since I got the results for the second Armored Combat Market Survey I put out. I had hoped to have a few overview posts and some correlations of the data by now, but between work, training, streaming, and some weird life shit I haven’t made the time. So instead I’m just going to post the Raw here for anyone who wants it and maybe over the next few weeks provide some summaries? Or maybe not who knows?

For reference the first time I did this survey it was meant for ACL(Rip) members only. That drew 90ish responses and had a strong selection bias meaning it did not represent the entire North American community. With that league now dead I’ve been adopting a core principle of the Armored Combat Sports organization, “Be a Fan of the Fighter” and based on that opened the survey to all people in the community fighters, staff, and fans alike. By the way, that principle comes from one of my Favorite RPG games Dungeon World so if you are a fan of tabletops please go check that out.

I’m releasing all the data I’ve collected in that spirit for people to pull whatever nuggets of wisdom they want from them. This iteration managed to pull in over 300 responses and far more of them non-fighters. This makes this data set much richer. But like the last one there is still some selection bias. There were no Mexican respondents despite that being a very active country and limited response from members of the ACW organization. I think we can still draw conclusions from this set though and even possibly consider trends from the last set to this one.

Lastly, I have done a decent amount of work to clean up and organize the data for my own purposes. This includes summarizing the long form answers, standardizing the answers for state/province, and a few other things. If you would like access to that data to save yourself some work let me know. I’m keeping it private at the moments as that spreadsheet is a Work In Progress, and don’t want to many hands touching it, even as a read only.

If you would like to make edits to this data, create charts, etc, simply select file and make a copy to get a local version you have edit rights too.
